Pilates Reformer Price in India: A Guide for Studio Owners
By Skelcore India
If you are opening a studio and searching for the Pilates reformer price in India, here is the honest answer: there is no single number. We quote every order, and the price moves with the frame you pick, whether the reformer folds, how many machines you need and where they are going. This guide explains each of those so you can budget properly before you call anyone.
Our Pilates reformer price in India page lists the full range with SKUs. Below, we explain how to choose between the models and what pushes the quote up or down.
Why we say "price on request"
We know it is annoying. You want a figure to put in a spreadsheet. But a reformer is not like a branded water bottle. A studio buying two foldable machines for a hotel room and a studio buying twelve fixed machines for back-to-back classes are asking for very different things.
The quote depends on the frame material, the number of springs, the upholstery colour, the quantity and the delivery city. If you want a ballpark before a formal quote, tell us your class size and city and we will give you one.

The five models, and who each one suits
All our reformers share the same basics: German-made piano-wire springs, an eight-wheel carriage that glides quietly, a jump box, two pad attachments and double-looped straps. What changes is the frame and whether the unit folds.
Prices are on request for all five. Use the table to shortlist two models, then ask for quotes on those.
What moves the price of a Pilates reformer
Frame material
Oak and walnut look warm and suit boutique studios. Aluminium costs and behaves differently. It does not rust or swell in damp air, and it handles harsh cleaning well. If your studio is in Chennai, Mumbai or anywhere near the coast, or inside a hotel spa where the air is humid, aluminium is the safer buy. In a dry, air-conditioned studio, wood is fine and many clients prefer the look.
Fixed or foldable
A foldable reformer usually asks for more engineering, so expect it to be priced accordingly. Is it worth it? Only if you actually need the floor back. A hotel gym that also runs yoga, or a corporate wellness room used for three different classes, should buy foldable. A dedicated Pilates studio should not. Fixed machines are steadier, and you never have to ask staff to wheel anything around.
Springs and class level
More springs give instructors more range in resistance. Our Classic and aluminium reformers have six, and the oak foldable has five. For beginner and general classes, five or six is plenty. If you teach rehab or advanced clients, ask us about the exact spring set for your programme.
Upholstery
The upholstery is microfiber leather and comes in a wide range of colours, so you can match your studio brand. Custom colours may affect the quote and the lead time. [TODO: confirm lead time for custom upholstery colours]
Quantity and delivery
Ordering ten reformers is not ten times the cost of one, because freight and installation guidance are shared. Delivery city matters too, since a studio in a metro is easier to reach than a smaller town. We deliver across India. [TODO: confirm delivery timeline by city]
How many reformers does your studio need?
Start from the class, not the room. How many people do you want in one session?
- Private or duet studio: two to four reformers. This is the cheapest way to start, and it suits physiotherapists and personal trainers.
- Small group studio: six to eight reformers, which gives you a class size that earns well without crowding the instructor.
- Hotel or club room: one to three foldable machines, so the room can change role during the day.
Leave space for the instructor to walk around each machine. [TODO: confirm recommended floor area per reformer]
A common mistake is buying for the busiest class you can imagine. Start with what you can fill, and add reformers as your timetable fills up. Our reformers are the same model each time, so new ones will match what you already have.
Do not forget the rest of the studio
Reformers are the biggest line in the budget, but they are not the only one. Plan for:
- Flooring that is level and easy to clean
- Mirrors and lighting
- Air conditioning, which also protects wooden frames
- Reception, changing area and storage
- A Spine Corrector for mat and spine work, and similar small apparatus
If the reformer room is part of a larger gym project, our guide to gym setup in India helps you see the whole budget in one place.
A few things to check before you order
- Frame: wood for dry air-conditioned rooms, aluminium for humid ones.
- Foldable or fixed: choose foldable only if the room is shared.
- Quantity: start with what your first month of classes will fill.
- Upholstery colour: decide early so it does not hold up the order.
- Delivery: confirm city, floor, lift access and who will receive the machines.
- Support: ask what setup guidance and after-sales help comes with the quote. [TODO: confirm warranty terms for reformers]
